The Park County Superintendent of Schools is an elected, part-time office whose duties are defined by statute. It is used by all the persons in the county and especially those in the area of education. The office is a service agency that responds to local needs and provides professional and educational leadership.
The office also provides the following services:
- A permanent record of all the teachers in the county, past and present.
- A permanent record of all school district trustees and clerks, past and present.
- A transcript of all district boundaries, past and present.
- Retains all school census records. These can be used to confirm birthdates for those with birthdates up to 1970.
- All homeschools in the county are required to register in the office. Information about curriculum and materials is also available.
- Provide statistical information for various agencies.
- Reply to all enquiries pertaining to schools.
